Typical Dead Loads

  • 10-15 psf: Bar Grating or Diamond Plate
  • 50-60 psf: 4" Concrete Slab on Deck

Design Basis

This tool uses Simple Span beam logic assuming the top flange is fully braced (Lb=0). It checks Allowable Stress (ASD) for A992 Steel (Fy=50ksi) and deflection limits.
